A DwellSocial Update on Delivery

You may have noticed we are no longer offering centralized pickups for most of our events, and are wondering why. We want to be as transparent as possible, while also bringing as many folks the iconic food they crave–so here’s what’s changed, and how you can still get great food.


Firstly, the pickup system was set up in the height of Covid, when people were home more and there weren't as many other activities--or as much traffic. So customers were able to leave the house, pick-up delicious food, and be home in a matter of 20-30 minutes. Now...we're all busier. Our drivers are hitting more traffic, as are our customers, which makes for late pickups, and later deliveries for the next stop.

Effective immediately, we’re no longer offering pickups for most of our events. Here are some details:

  • We have expanded our delivery areas–we often see folks from one town over driving to get food, so we have created greater home delivery areas so we can offer more people home delivery.
  • We’ll be providing a general time for home delivery at purchase with more specific details on delivery times closer to the event.
  • We’re no longer charging the $2.50 home delivery fee, and have lumped it into our 18% Delivery Support fee.


There are a few restaurants that will still be offering pickups–such as Pequod’s Pizza. And we work with organizations each month on fundraising events–some of which may still have a pickup available (and the entire community can participate). But if you still want to be able to get food delivered from a city restaurant and you’re outside of our delivery areas, please reach out by emailing support@dwellsocial.zendesk.com. Depending on the size of your order or event, we may be able to create a private catering event, or a new neighborhood event if you’re able to help us reach a minimum group size.


We strive to continue to provide the best possible service while keeping our costs as low as possible–and appreciate your patience and rolling with the punches as we evolve as a business.
